The Wolf of Baghdad: Memoir of a Lost Homeland

In the 1940s a third of Baghdad’s population was Jewish. Within a decade nearly all 150,000 Jews had fled; today only 3 remain. The Wolf of Baghdad animation is based on the graphic memoir of an Iraqi-Jewish family’s memories, with a soundtrack of Judeo-Arabic and Iraqi music.

The Wolf of Baghdad is one of the Guardian’s top 10 graphic novels of 2020
