The Fellows Singers is a local chamber choir founded in 2017. From September, Jonathan Darbourne, Artistic Director of Vache Baroque, becomes its Director of Music. The range of music covered is broad from early English madrigals to classic pop via old English folk songs and operatic choruses. Concerts take place three times a year and in addition there are opportunities for solos for those who wish to sing them. The choir also leads the carol service at St Saviours Chruch, Eton Road.
They are a friendly community of amateur singers at various levels of experience, although some experience of singing in choirs is desirable. The Fellows Singers are looking for new members, especially male voices.
Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings, mostly in the Primrose Hill Community Library, starting on 24 September. Approximate costs per term (10 sessions plus concert) are £120 including room hire and fee to the music director (depending on numbers in the choir). An additional fee for an accompanist at the concert, which takes place at St Saviours Church, would be about £10 per person.
